About

This template is used to auto-generate visually pleasing tables that show the chance of successfuly pickpocketing an NPC at various thieving levels - using nothing more than the two numerators used for interpolation. Simply call the template with the subpagename or NPC name as the parameter, add their data to Template:PickPocketTable/Lookup's four data fields, and it will work. If you do not have the lvl1 and lvl99 denominators, you must get them directly from Jagex and cite their Tweet on this page.

Rounding inaccuracies

Due to differences between the game engine and webserver, chances cannot be computed with 100% accuracy. Therefore, some results may be off by 1-1.5%. However, all nofail rates are confirmed and manually added.

Diaries?

This table includes a calculation for the Ardougne diaries. The perk for these diaries is a 10% multiplicative buff to the two numerators of the equation.[3]

Gloves of silence?

The Gloves of silence offer half the effect of an Ardougne diary, and are not currently listed.

Thieving cape

The Thieving cape multiplies the existing enhanced numerators by another 1.1x. So, if the numerator was originally 200/255, and it was brought to 220/255 by the Ardougne diaries, it'd be brought to 242.[10]

When the thieving cape and gloves are added, a slight table reconstruction will be required. A second header titled "No-fail Rates" will be below the percentage comparisons, and contain a base (only if at least one NPC in the game offers a nofail without any aid), a Gloves (5%) section, a Diary (10%) section, and a cape+diary (10% x 10%) section.
