This is a documentation subpage for Template:M. It contains usage information, categories, and other content that is not part of the original template page.

The M template is used if users to mark a page for Speedy Move. This process is required for users who are unable to move the page/file themselves, and require the help of other users to perform the move. Speedy Move should only be used for cases that fit certain criteria. Read the Criteria for speedy move page first to see if it truly is a candidate.

This template also adds pages to Category:Speedy move candidates.

Usage

The second unnamed parameter is optional. It is used to recommend a new name for the page in question.
